About Anna Marie Jehorek

Anna Marie Jehorek, a Crofton, Maryland native, graduated from the University of Maryland in College Park with a BA degree in radio, television, and film/communications. After college, she worked in public relations and business and industry relations for a Washington, D.C. trade association. While working in D.C. she began writing for various industry journals. Although she went on to a variety of jobs in the ensuing years, Jehorek continued writing as a contributor and freelancer for multiple publications. It wasn’t until she took a creative writing class at Emory University that she tried her hand at fiction.

Her love of writing paired with her passion for traveling to Ireland inspired Jehorek to pen her first novel, The Cottage on Lough Key. The fictional story takes place in the town of Boyle in County Roscommon which is her maternal grandfather’s hometown. Hence, writing the book was a labor of love. The debut novel was hailed as, “a wonderful Irish stew full of love, loss and emotional growth” and “a sensitive and well-related story of love lost and regained.”

The Cottage on Lough Key struck a chord with readers garnering her a following and the honor of being celebrated with a book signing in Boyle, Ireland. Since the success of the first novel, Jehorek has been busy writing at her travel website, PullOverAndLetMeOut.com, and penning her second novel, The House with The Georgian Door.

The House with The Georgian Door is also set in Ireland and again “so accurately captures the mood and settings of her locations” transporting readers to the Emerald Isle while engaging them with her charmingly flawed characters.

Jehorek resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband, son, and two pugs, Lenny and Colonel Brandon. Her latest novel, The House with The Georgian Door was released in October 2019.
